Provocation Station is growing — slowly, deliberately, and with your help.

Provocation Station is currently in the process of registering as a charitable trust. While our official account is being set up, all donations are being carefully recorded and held in an interim account. Once the trust is fully established, these funds will be transferred and accounted for transparently. If you’d like to support the kaupapa, you can choose a fund below.

While we finalise that mahi — the paperwork, the bank account, the official setup — we’re welcoming small contributions from friends, whānau, and early believers in the kaupapa.

Your donation helps us build something that honours care, creativity, and long-term vision. You can choose to support one of the following funds, depending on what resonates with you:

General Fund

Not sure where to direct your support? This fund allows us to move pūtea flexibly between areas — from artist fees to tech costs, kai to print runs — wherever it’s needed most at the time. A gift of trust, and deeply appreciated.

Artist Support Fund

Directly supports the artists, writers, and makers who contribute to Provocation Station — through fees, koha, and recognition of the time and energy they bring.

Publishing Fund

Helps produce our first annual book, Indigenous Narrative. Supports editing, design, printing, and distribution of writing and art that deserves to be held in your hands.

Community Activation Fund

Covers programming like potlucks, singing nights, workshops, and roundtables. Supports venue hire, kai, materials, and manaaki for our local gatherings.

Matariki Community Breakfast Fund

Helps us host a free, welcoming community breakfast in Ōtautahi Christchurch in 2026 to mark the rising of Matariki. Covers kai, koha, marquee hire, and the warmth needed to bring people together at dawn.

The Dream Fund

Supports the big picture: a decentralised Indigenous conceptual biennial, regional touring shows, and a dedicated whare for Provocation Station. Long-term vision, brick by brick.

Backbone Fund

Keeps the kaupapa running smoothly behind the scenes. Supports infrastructure like website hosting, admin tools, email, and the sometimes invisible labour that holds everything together with care.
