Calls for Entry
This is where we post all open opportunities to be part of Provocation Station’s kaupapa — from conceptual programming and publications to commercial exhibitions and subscription box collaborations.
What You’ll Find Here
Conceptual Exhibitions
Kaupapa-led, often non-commercial, and focused on critical ideas, Indigenous thought, and experimental formats.
These are called for once a year in June, with selected artists contacted in July. Exhibitions are then programmed for the following calendar year starting in January.
Commercial Exhibitions
Themed, curated, and sellable shows that align with our kaupapa and support artists through small, repeatable, or editioned works.
Subscription Box Invitations
Calls for small works created specifically for our curated boxes. These are themed, collaborative, and paid per inclusion.
Special Activations
Workshops, community events, roundtables, artist takeovers, and one-off experiments. Often open call, always kaupapa-aligned.
Books and Publications
Opportunities to contribute essays, artworks, or provocations to our print series and curated collections.
How It Works
Each opportunity will be posted as its own blog entry.
Deadlines, requirements, and formats will be listed clearly.
Once an opportunity closes, it will be marked CLOSED in the title.
Some projects are by invitation, but most are open to submit.
We welcome proposals that are sharp, messy, poetic, theoretical, tactile, Indigenous, decolonial, or quietly disruptive. If you’re unsure whether your work fits, reach out anyway — we’d rather be in conversation than exclusion.
